We'll take you from Dubrovnik to the peninsula of Peljesac where the Croatian hospitality can be tasted along with the excellent home-made bread, proscuitto, cheese and wine at a family farm. Bon appetite!
Peninsula Peljesac is Napa Valley of Croatia. The finest Croatian red and white wine are made here. Even the famous Californian - Croatian winemaker Mr. Grgich established his winery on the top of the hill facing the open sea and romantic archipelagos of southern Dalmatian islands.
For wine tasting we shall stop at the Grgich winery.
Continuing to the island of Korcula, we'll take a ferry across the channel in Orebic and arrive after a short ride in Korcula.
Korcula is the homeland of Marco Polo, the famous writer and traveler. This medieval town has the charm of old Venetian architecture, where Renaissance and Gothic styles are unified in wonderful harmony offering unforgettable joyous memories to the visitor. Old churches, monasteries, open squares and galleries will keep you busy and longing for more.
On our way back to Dubrovnik, we'll take a break in Mali Ston. Hopefully, you are ready for some more Croatian seafood specialties, mussels and oysters as well as great local wine. Cheers!
We'll arrive at the old town of Dubrovnik in the late afternoon. Still feeling stuffed? Let's then take a nice long walk around the old town to walk off lunch or just to get ready for dinner!
The Franciscan Monastery with its pharmacy (1317), Dominican Monastery, Rector's Palace and old Cathedral are waiting for us in the late afternoon sunset.
Dubrovnik offers a nice variety of cafes, bistros, restaurants, pastry shops, etc. Your guide is an insider and will give you the best info from light dinner to delicious local desserts and ice cream. Too much food? Don't worry, we'll walk it off afterwards in the romantic little streets - Enjoy!
