Start your day by admiring nature's gifts at the oldest Renaissance park in Dalmatia and the most beautiful arboretum in Croatia- the arboretum in Trsteno, where very influential citizens of Dubrovnik Republic built their summer residences.
The entire estate has been cultivated by subtropical vegetation and exotic flowers. Many sculptures are decorating this amazing park, but one of the most impressive is the statue of Greek God Poseidon guarding the beautiful fountain. And the whole property is facing the breathtaking blue sea and the Elaphite islands.
After a tour of the Arboretum we'll continue to Dubrovnik and first enjoy the wonderful sight from the panoramic view.
Our tour will take us centuries back visiting the 14th century Franciscan Monastery and it's oldest pharmacy dating back to 1317, the Dominican Monastery, 15th and 16th century, the Rector's Palace, seat of most important man of this small Slavic state -the Rector, today a museum and a great open air stage for classical music, the old Cathedral dating back to Richard Lion-hearted, with its present final look the 18 century. ....
Some free time will be provided at the end of the tour for souvenir shopping, refreshment, snacks or simply enjoying a cappuccino at one of local hot spots...
Following our short break we'll take a ferry to Lokrum - the island of love.
Lokrum, only a 10 minute boat ride away is the most forested island on the Adriatic coast, measured by its size. During the hot summer days it is the beloved destination of many locals and their guests. Transparent, clear blue water, tranquility and romance can be found in this paradise.
(Advise: take a bathing suit to spend time on one of the cleanest beach you ever visited.)
With the sunset we will be back in town, with the people returning from the many beaches and getting ready for the exciting night life of Dubrovnik.
